Katy Perry made one 8-year-old girl’s Christmas very special this year. The pop star sent a Christmas package to Safyre, who lost her family in a fire that left her severely burned.
As we previously reported, all Safyre wanted for Christmas was cards, which she got loads of from various well wishers who saw a viral Facebook request from a family member.
TMZ reports Perry sent Safyre a package that included her Prismatic World Tour DVD, her Part Of Me film, an iPhone 6 case, a hoodie, backpack and purse.
Perry included a card with a message that read, "Safyre, I heard about your Christmas wish and am so honored that you saved the top of the tree for me! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. I'll be thinking of you on Christmas day. Special girl."
Safyre's paternal aunt, Liz Doddler, is now her primary caregiver after the little girl lost her father, two brothers and sister in a fire two years ago. Her father saved her life by shielding his body over hers, but she’s had over 50 surgeries to correct the severe burns she obtained in the fire and lost a hand.
