There was a scary moment during Thursday night’s game in Cleveland with the Cavaliers and the Oklahoma City Thunder when LeBron James went after a loose ball and collided with Jason Day’s wife who was sitting courtside.

The Associated Press reported that the PGA champion and his wife, Ellie, live in Ohio and were attending the game to cheer on their team. Unfortunately, she ended up leaving the game in a stretcher after James plowed into the seats.

At the hospital, Ellie was suffering from concussion-like symptoms. A spokesperson for the hospital later said that she has been released.

On Friday morning Day's agent, Bud Martin, issued a statement and an update on her health saying she "is resting comfortably and appreciates all of those who have reached out and are concerned about her.” He also said that she has "no hard feelings" at all towards James and knows that "he was just doing his job.”

Sitting courtside is a risk that fans take. Yes, you are extremely close to the action and there is just no better seat in the arena but you should keep in mind that accidents can and do happen.

James obviously felt awful about what transpired. Hear what he said after the game below.
