Girls creator and star Lena Dunham will campaign for Hillary Clinton in Iowa next year.

The comedian posted the announcement on her Twitter page, writing, "Very excited to hit the road for @HillaryClinton in 2016. Iowa on Jan 9. and more stops announced soon! What does a STUMPER wear!?" Clinton responded to this tweet with a link to a sweatshirt sold on her campaign store.

"Lena has spent a lot of time with Hillary, and I bet she’s got some great stories to share," Michelle Kleppe, Iowa organizing director for Hillary for America, said in a statement to The Des Moines Register.

This won't be the comedian's first interaction with Clinton, as she also interviewed the Democratic presidential candidate back in September. They discussed women's health, student debt, feminism and sexual assault on college campuses among other topics.

Several other Hollywood stars have expressed their enthusiasm for Clinton including Uzo Aduba, Clay Aiken, America Ferrera, Diane Kruger, Magic Johnson, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Kerry Washington and Abbi Jacobson. Jacobson will be welcoming Clinton on to her Comedy Central series Broad City in a season three episode.
