Mandy Moore is asking her estranged husband, Ryan Adams, for spousal support for the eight pets they shared during their marriage.
Moore has filed documents with the request that Adams help support eight cats and dogs they once shared, which Moore is now taking care of on her own. However, she claims her salary is a quarter of what the Grammy-nominated musician makes.
“I feel as if I have no alternative," she wrote in documents People obtained. "Although I love our pets, it is overwhelming for me to take care of eight of them all of the time.”
She went on to claim the undertaking of caring for the pets has hindered her ability to work, saying she had to cancel a work commitment when her housekeeper was sick and couldn’t watch the pets.
“Without Ryan's help caring for the house and our pets, I have not been able to work as much as I would like,” she continued.
Moore and Adams, who covered Taylor Swift’s 1989 in its entirety, announced their split in January after nearly six years of marriage.
