Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch announced on Thursday that he will be entering the 2016 NFL draft.He called it the best decision for him and his family.

According to Sporting News, Lynch is projected as a top-10 pick by most experts. He is considered to be the top quarterback available, ahead of Cal’s Jared Goff. Lynch also announced that he is keeping Leigh Steinberg and Chris Cabbott as his agents.

In a statement the QB said the he “will be a Memphis Tiger for life"  and that he will continue his education at Memphis until he gets his degree.

Lynch was a redshirt junior this year. He has improved each year in his three years with the team. This season he completed 66.8 percent of his passes for 3,778 yards with 28 touchdowns and four interceptions, according to ESPN. He has 8,865 passing yards, 59 touchdowns and 23 interceptions in his college career.

Memphis was 9-4 this season and lost to Auburn in the Birmingham Bowl on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see which team drafts Lynch.
