NBC News announced today that MSNBC will air With All Due Respect, the main political debate show that airs on Bloomberg.
The show is hosted by journalists John Heilemann and Mark Halperin and is produced by Bloomberg Media. It will still air on Bloomberg at 5 p.m. and will later be repeated on MSNBC at 6 p.m., notes The New York Times. The deal will start next month.
Talks between Bloomberg and NBC News were first reported last month by New York Magazine. Both networks are looking for new ways to attract viewers and this could help Bloomberg earn some extra attention.
For MSNBC, it continues the recent overhaul NBC News chairman Andrew Lack that began this year. Lack has cancelled several commentary shows that used to air during the day and instead has focused on straight news programs. With All Due Respect will not hold the 6 p.m. slot once held by Al Sharpton.
Heilemann and Halperin both make regular appearances on MSNBC, often being on Morning Joe and Hardball.
