Chicago Med is the latest new series to earn more episodes, although NBC stopped short of giving it a full back-nine order.

The third Chicago series only received five more episodes, notes Variety. That brings its season one total to 18 episodes. Since it didn’t start until mid-November, new episodes will air through May.

The first four episodes have averaged 8.9 million viewers and a 2.0 18-49 rating, as it follows The Voice on Tuesdays.

Dick Wolf announced in August that Med characters would be included in a mega crossover event with the other two Chicago shows and Law & Order: SVU. That event is expected to air next month.

Both Chicago Fire and Chicago PD are coming back in Fall 2016, so Med has a strong chance of surviving.

Med is also part of the newest wave of medical dramas. NBC also has Heartbreaker, which was pushed to midseason. CBS has also found success with Code Black.

Med airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
