Pamela Anderson was at the Kremlin on Monday to discuss wildlife conservation with several of the country’s top officials.
Anderson, 48, had requested a meeting to talk about the topic with Russian President Vladimir Putin a few months ago. The AFP noted that he accepted, but was unable to attend the round table so the actress instead met with his chief of staff Sergei Ivanov as well as Sergey Donskoy, the minister of natural resources and the environment.
The discussion was broadcast on state-owned Russian television and touched on a variety of issues including the conservation of endangered Amur Tigers to imposing a legal ban on the killing of baby seals.
“I think Russia could really win over some hearts and minds in the west if Russia were to take a leadership position on defending wildlife and the rights of animals,” the Playboy covergirl said.
Ivanov told Anderson that their meeting was unusual but interesting as he got to discuss the conservation of beautiful animals with a beautiful woman.
