Injured Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was fuming after a report surfaced that he would not serve as a backup QB to Brock Osweiler.
Manning was so angry about the NFL Network report and responded by calling it ‘bullshit.’
“It’s a flat-out lie. It’s insulting. And it’s distracting,” the five-time MVP said. “That's 100 percent bullshit. No. 1, it is bullshit. And No. 2, it's insulting. The worst part about being hurt is that a lot of people seem to know everything about you and speak for you, even when it's somebody you don't even know."
The report that had Manning so steamed claimed that he was not at all happy being a backup and complained about it to the Broncos front office.
Prior to the game, the team's general manager and executive vice-president of football operations John Elway also denied the report via Twitter.
The Broncos have dropped their last two games and if that play continues and Manning's foot heals before the season is over a decision about the future Hall of Famer's role will need to be made.
