Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning denied a report that he used HGH or any banned substances on Sunday.

Manning was listed in an Al Jazeera report titled “The Dark Side,” which claimed that Manning was supplied with illegal performance-enhancing drugs from an anti-aging clinic in Indiana. The documentary was posted online Sunday morning and scheduled to air on TV on Sunday. The report claims that Manning was given human growth hormone, HGH, and other steroids and drugs in 2011 while he was recovering from surgery, according to ESPN. The drugs were shipped to Manning’s home and were in his wife Ashley’s name. Charlie Sly, a pharmacist at the Guyer Institute in Indianapolis, supposedly supplied the drugs to Manning. However, Sly told ESPN that he isn’t a pharmacist and he wasn’t at the Guyer Institute in 2011. Sly was licensed as a pharmacy intern in Indiana from April 2010 to May 2013. His license expired on May 1, 2013.

"The allegation that I would do something like that is complete garbage and is totally made up," Manning said. "It never happened. Never. I really can't believe somebody would put something like this on the air. Whoever said this is making stuff up. Yes, I have been a patient under Dr. Guyer. I have had nutrient therapy, oxygen therapy and other treatments that are holistic in nature but never HGH. My wife has never provided any medication for me to take. Ashley and I never attended the clinic together after hours.”

The Broncos have defended Manning saying that he does things the right way and the claims made in the Al Jazeera report are false. Manning wasn’t the only athlete that was linked to HGH and other drugs in the report. The report says the Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews used painkillers and Packers defensive end Julius Peppers and linebacker Mike Neal, and Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison were supplied with Delta-2, a substance that is banned in the NFL, according to NFL.com.

Manning, who joined the Broncos in 2012, has been out with a left foot injury since mid-November. The Broncos, who are 10-4, play the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday and will have Brock Osweiler as their quarterback.
