Russell Crowe took to Twitter to air his grievances to Virgin Airlines about their policy of banning hoverboards or segway boards on their flights due to the recent recall. He vowed to never fly the airline again after they wouldn’t allow his two children to take theirs on the flight as luggage.

“Ridiculous @VirginAustralia. No Segway boards as luggage?” he tweeted on Monday. “Too late to tell us at airport.Kids and I offloaded. Goodbye Virgin. Never again.”

Virgin responded in a timely fashion, telling the actor they banned the hoverboards because of “safety concerns over the lithium ion batteries.” They also apologized he wasn’t “aware of this prior to check-in today.”

But Crowe wasn’t satisfied with the time it took for them to answer, tweeting directly after his first tweet, “Im awaiting your reply, where is your duty of responsibility in this? Why not tell me when I am booking my ticket?”

Crowe then responded to a Twitter user who told him to “get some perspective” by writing, "I’m a father Joel, with two kids at an airport, trying to start our holiday."

As we previously reported, retailers like Amazon have pulled hoverboards because of reports of the devices setting fire due to an issue with their batteries.
