Showtime announced today that it has renewed Homeland and The Affair, two shows that have continued to rack up awards for the network.

The premium cable network said that The Affair will be back for a third season next year. Homeland will return for a sixth. The two shows are currently paired together on Sunday nights.

Homeland stars Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin and Rupert Friend. It was nominated for Best Drama Ensemble and Best Leading Actress in a Drama (Danes) at the Screen Actors Guild Awards this morning.

Overall, the Fox 21 production has picked up five Golden Globes. Danes has won the emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama twice and the show’s first season won Outstanding Drama Series.

As for The Affair, its first season won Golden Globes for Best TV Series - Drama and Best Actress - Drama. It stars Ruth Wilson, Dominic West, Joshua Jackson and Maura Tierney.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Homeland is averaging 2.7 million viewers over its first three days of delayed viewing and The Affair averages 1.5 million viewers.
