TCU’s quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested after being involved in an altercation at a bar and then allegedly striking a patrol officer early Thursday morning.

Several news outlets in San Antonio have reported that Boykin, who is in town for the Alamo Bowl, got into a fight with other bar patrons after they recognized him and started saying things.

The 22-year-old was in the bar Pat O’ Brien's with some of his other teammates when he allegedly got upset about the trash talk and a scuffle broke out.

People around Boykin tried to break up the fight and the quarterback ended up hitting a bar employee. When the cops arrived Boykin reportedly would not calm down.

An incident report claims that the TCU signal caller was “very aggressive and was being held back by the group that he was with. Members of his group stated they would get him back to the hotel they were staying at." However, he charged and allegedly hit a bicycle patrol officer and was then taken down to the ground by other officers.

The cop who he hit was treated by medical personnel at the scene and Boykin was arrested.

Authorities said the QB was still in custody as of Thursday morning on $5,000 bond. He has now been suspended for Saturday’s Bowl game.
