After starting Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown was injured in Monday night’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens, many thought the team would add another signal caller to the roster. Well Terrelle Pryor may be headed back to Ohio ... but as a receiver.
A league source has told Cleveland.com that Pryor was set to work out with the Chicago Bears on Tuesday, but declined to take the trip after he got a call from his old team. He is now reportedly going sign with the Browns as a receiver.
The team is in need of a wideout or two, but also a quarterback and now it looks like McCown will be gone for the season. That said, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have Pryor on the roster with Austin Davis and Johnny Manziel to add more depth and experience at the position.
Pryor is also familiar with the Browns system having spent the summer there before he was waived in September.
The 26-year-old seemed to be excited about the reported signing with the team and tweeted a photo of his son sleeping in a Browns blanket.
