Tiger Woods’ kids; daughter Sam, 8, and son Charlie, 6, delivered a huge blow to their professional golfer dad during a recent interview but he proved what a good sense of humor he has by taking it in stride.
During an interview with USA Today, Woods’ kids with his ex, Elin Nordegren, were asked if they’d rather be their father or soccer player Lionel Messi.
Both kids, being big soccer fans, chose Messi. Charlie then added of Messi, “He’s playing.” With this, Woods let out a good laugh and replied, “Well, he’s right.”
At the Hero World Challenge benefit, Woods talked about being hopeful that he will return to golf soon following his third back surgery.
“For my 20 years out here I think I’ve achieved a lot, and if that’s all it entails, then I’ve had a pretty good run,” he said. “But I’m hoping that’s not it.”
