Tim Roth appeared in the notoriously awful FIFA film United Passions earlier this year, and the actor admits he only took the role for the money.
In an Ask Me Anything on Reddit, the Hateful Eight actor was asked for his thoughts on United Passions. He was extremely honest, saying that the film is terrible, although he has not actually watched the final version.
"I hated doing it, it was the wrong film but for the right reasons," he wrote. "I had two kids in college so I had to make a decision and it was probably poorly judged, but once you make that decision you have to follow through. It's a hard road, being in something you don't want to do, but I'm glad I did it for my family."
United Passions was financed by FIFA in order to put a positive spin on the organization and on Sepp Blatter in particular. It hit theaters just a few days following Blatter's resignation, and the movie was one of the biggest box office bombs of all time, grossing just $607.
Roth also noted in the AMA that he thought United Passions would be much more about Blatter's corruption than it ended up being.
The Hateful Eight opens on Dec. 25.
