Popular chain Trader Joe’s has voluntarily recalled its Triple Ginger Brew after reports of the bottles exploding.
CNN reported that the store recalled the soda when customers complained that some of the unopened bottles were actually "shattering or bursting."
The problem bottles that the drink is sold in are described as an "old-fashioned, emerald green, 750-millilliter glass bottle."
HNGN noted that so far there have not been any injuries, but because of the potential danger the bottles have been removed from the store’s shelves as a precaution.
"This precautionary action comes after the company received inquiries from customers that had experienced unopened bottles shattering or bursting," Trader Joe’s said.
The grocery chain also said that the bottles were bought at various locations throughout the country between November 9 and December 14. If you have a bottle of the ginger brew purchased in that time span the store suggests getting rid of it right away and contacting customer service at (626) 599-3817 to receive a full refund.
