Star Wars: The Force Awakens has officially surpassed Jurassic World for the title of biggest opening weekend of all time, and Universal Studios has issued their congratulations.

Producer Frank Marshall sent out a tweet today, which depicts a T-Rex handing over a gold medal to BB-8. "Universal Pictures, Steven, Frank and Colin congratulate Star Wars: The Force Awakens on the biggest opening weekend in galactic history," the caption reads.

Marvel Studios had a similar response when Jurassic World beat The Avengers back in June. Marvel President Kevin Feige tweeted an image of Chris Pratt riding a dinosaur while the Avengers characters looked on from below.

This idea of directors and producers officially congratulating a movie that beats theirs is actually a tradition in Hollywood dating back to when Star Wars beat Jaws in domestic film rentals. In response, Steven Spielberg took out a full page ad in Variety that showed R2-D2 fishing and reeling in the titular shark. Later, when Titanic beat Star Wars at the box office, George Lucas took out an ad showing Star Wars characters on board the ship with a caption that read, "Congratulations!"

Star Wars: The Force Awakens had an opening weekend gross of $238 million, shattering Jurassic World's previous record of $208 million.
