Will Smith will be making his debut as Deadshot in Suicide Squad next year and a new rumor suggests we'll be seeing the character many more times after that.
Latino Review is reporting that Smith is extremely excited about being a part of the DC cinematic universe and is in talks to appear in the upcoming solo Batman movie. This wouldn't just be a mere cameo like Captain America in Thor: The Dark World, though. Rather, Smith would be signing on to play a major part in the Batman film, with Latino Review's sources comparing it to a The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly scenario.
After making his debut in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ben Affleck will have more time to shine as the caped crusader in 2018. JoBlo reported back in October that the villain of this film would be Red Hood, a.k.a. a resurrected Robin. However, none of these details have been confirmed yet.
We'll get to see Will Smith in action as Deadshot when Suicide Squad opens on Aug. 5. This assassin will be a much darker character than Smith has played in the past and the actor said he was excited about that.
"I guess I like the concept of dubious morals," Smith said. "I always liked to play in that area."
