It’s really a tossup in Hollywood on whether Winona Ryder is best known for her movie roles or for her trip to Saks Fifth Avenue in which she was caught shoplifting back in 2001. Now, however, something else people may recognize her for is her new beauty campaign with Marc Jacobs, which is ironically one of the brands she picked up during that infamous Saks trip.
Jacobs announced the news of Ryder becoming the new face Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Spring 2016 Collection via his Instagram page on Monday.
“It is with great pride (and pleasure) that I ‘leak’ this image from our upcoming 2016 MARC JACOBS BEAUTY campaign,” the designer captioned the photo. “It stars my dear friend (of over two and a half decades), the stunningly beautiful and extraordinarily talented, Winona Ryder.”
The image is of Ryder’s face with beautifully done cat-eye makeup as she gazes down at a pearl necklace.
The 44-year-old actress has always said that she is a fan of the designer, in fact as the International Business Times noted, a Marc Jacobs cashmere sweater was among the stolen Saks items.
