There is not a Sharknado coming but a 5-foot shark was found swimming around a condo pool in Florida.

According to the Sun-Sentinel , the barely alive blacktip shark was found in the swimming pool of condominiums in Palm Beach County. The paper reported that Nicole Bonk saw two boys who may have orchestrated the prank while she was visiting a friend’s condo friends last week.

Bonk said that she saw the boys carrying the shark, with hooks in its mouth, and placing it in the pool around 11 p.m.

"These two kids, they came back from fishing and threw this half-dead creature into the pool as a prank," she said. "They left the shark in the pool to die. I think they're terrible children because it's animal cruelty."

Bonk said that her and her husband retrieved the shark from the water and released it at the Intracoastal Waterway.

"We tried to revive him but he mostly likely did not live," she said. "He was barely moving after the trauma. We did our best to try to save this creature."

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said it would look into the incident.

Blacktip sharks have been known to attack humans from time to time although they are usually not fatal. About 16 percent of the attacks by these sharks occur in Florida waters.
