9:30 a.m. On a Friday. Poconos, PA
The gang pays homage to '80s ski movies and hit the slopes for the first time ever. The gang is enjoying being back at what was known as Party Mountain. We find out from local legend Dave Drisco that some rich stooge wants to buy the resort for rich CEOs. Dennis has a goal to be the best skier on the mountain and to win the big race. Charlie is confused by everything and Mac and Dee just want to party.
We find out Frank is the ‘rich stooge’ buying the mountain. He wants to call it ‘The Snow Palace.’ Dennis and a reluctant Charlie join Frank while Dee and Mac go party with Dave Drisco. They find out that the ‘Babe Manor’ spirit is gone and the guys have gotten really pathetic. Dee and Mac try to get them to party and find their old spirit.
Frank is hosting a banquet to entice local investors while Dennis wants to win the big race and claim the Bulgarian model Tatiana for his own. They crash the revitalized Babe Manor where Frank challenges Drisco to a rematch from thirty years ago. Dennis will race in his stead against Drisco. The rivalry between the two is so intense that Dennis has a race team from Switzerland to help him prepare. Charlie bails on the whole situation.
Dee and Mac are involved in a strange prank war with the unstable Drisco. A confused Charlie stumbles across Tatiana. She seduces him and then Charlie proceeds to have sex for the first time in 11 years!
It is the day of the big race. Drisco vs. Reynolds, with the loser forced to leave the mountain for 30 years. The police arrive moments before the race to arrest Drisco for his several sexual assaults. Charlie arrives and challenges Dennis, since he is going to race for the people.
Dennis dominates Charlie throughout the race but hits a jump and breaks both of his ankles. Charlie is an awful skier and Dennis is able to crawl to victory. The conclusion of the race sees Frank reveal that this was all a distraction to frack the mountain. The gang then reveal that they don’t even really like skiing. Mac and Dee drag an injured Dennis away.
This episode is my favorite so far this season. I always enjoy seeing the gang outside of Philadelphia. Random thoughts from this episode:
-This episode makes me want to watch the movie Out Cold. If you liked this episode, you would love this movie.
-I would love to go to ‘Party Mountain’ with the gang.
-Dennis and Charlie were my favorite two characters this episode. Charlie stole Tatiana from Dennis but Dennis was the winner in the end, broken ankles and all.
