Chelsea Handler will return to the small screen with her four-episode documentary series Chelsea Does and while promoting it, she discussed the end of her E! show Chelsea Lately. She also talked about her change of heart when it comes to marriage.

Handler ended her late night show in 2014 after seven seasons because she needed a change. She said she outgrew the show and needed to challenge herself.

"I was smarter than my show and that didn't feel interesting to me anymore,” she told People. “I thought, 'I want to be proud of myself as a person.’ I needed to grow up."

Part of growing up is realizing being married doesn’t have to be cheesy or over-the-top; everyone can do it their own way.

"I never understood why people would want to get married,” she admitted. “To me, marriage always encompassed a huge wedding and a huge reception and a commitment lumped together. But I realize now that you can be committed to someone without that commercialization and all that nonsense. So now I'd get married."

She's still firm on the idea she doesn't want any kids, though. She said she would be a "nightmare mother" and would have to "over-correct" her own childhood. "I'd be such a helicopter parent. I'd drive my child crazy!" she said.
