Ellen DeGeneres is up to her old tricks in 2016, pranking Matt Lauer once again by releasing an edited clip of the Today co-anchor interviewing Adele.
Their prank war started last year when DeGeneres edited a parody of Fifty Shades of Grey with Lauer wearing a dominatrix costume and he retaliated by filling her car with plastic balls.
During a clip of Tuesday’s show, DeGeneres tells her audience, "I made a resolution [that] in 2016, I was not going to mess with Matt Lauer anymore. Instead, I'll just show you this clip of him interviewing Adele."
When Lauer saw the clip this morning, he laughed it off and admitted he had to start thinking of a retaliation.
"I have no idea," he said of his next move. "I'm going back to billboards, apparently. I've got to figure something out."
