The actor who played Samuel "Screech" Powers on the television series Saved by the Bell, will spend the next four months behind bars.
ABC News noted that Dustin Diamond was booked last Friday at the Ozaukee County jail to serve out a fourth-month long sentence.
As we previously reported, Diamond and his girlfriend were involved in bar fight and stabbing at an establishment in Wisconsin last year. He was convicted of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct in June. He appealed the conviction, but withdrew that appeal in December.
Diamond’s girlfriend was also convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $500 for her part in the fight.
The 39-year-old actor is best known for playing the geeky, loveable Screech character on Saved by the Bell, but after the series ended he became known for some of his behavior off camera. He has appeared on several game shows and reality TV shows including The Weakest Link, Celebrity Boxing 2, Big Brother and Celebrity Fit Club.
