John Oliver has revealed the return date for his HBO show Last Week Tonight in a new YouTube video.
In a web exclusive segment about New Year's resolutions, Oliver announced that his weekly series will return with all new episodes on Feb. 14, about three months after the show went on hiatus.
Oliver also spent a few minutes recommending viewers accept that they're about to break their New Year's resolutions just a few days into 2016.
"Instead of beating yourself up because you haven't gone to the gym yet, simply lower your standards for what counts as exercise to anything that brings your heart rate up," Oliver joked. "That way, instead of jogging, simply try waking up late for work or taking a pregnancy test."
Oliver's half hour series has been a big success for HBO since its premiere in 2014 and in fact he averages a higher number of viewers than his fellow late night hosts Seth Meyers, Trevor Noah, James Corden and Conan O'Brien. The series has also done tremendously well due to its online strategy, as full clips are posted on the series' YouTube channel which often go viral the following day.
