Leonardo DiCaprio shared a near-death experience on The Ellen DeGeneres Show during his appearance this week to promote his new film The Revenant.

The last time he was on the show, he talked about surviving a shark attack. He also shared his experience with sky-diving, where both of his parachutes malfunctioned but he ended up landing safely at the last minute.

On Friday’s show, in addition to talking about the sky-diving incident, he talked about almost dying in a plane crash when one of the the plane’s two engines exploded.

“I was on a plane to Russia, and the engine exploded," he revealed. "I was looking out the window and the entire engine just turned into a fireball."

He added, “I was the only person there that seemed to see this, but it was a flaming fireball. I kind of felt like I had already died and gone to heaven because no one said anything."
