Louis C.K. is turning to a new medium for his next FX project. The comedian will be creating a new animated series for the network with the help of Albert Brooks.
The animated project, which remains completely unknown, will be created by Brooks and C.K. and is being developed under C.K.’s Pig Newton. The duo are also writing and executive producing, plus will voice the two lead characters, reports Deadline.
Brooks and C.K. both voice characters in the upcoming Illumination animated comedy The Secret Life of Pets. Brooks’ voice is also familiar for Pixar fans, since he voiced Marlin in Finding Nemo and the upcoming Finding Dory.
C.K. is behind the acclaimed series Louie, which is sadly going on a long break again. However, he’s also working on Baskets with Zach Galifianakis and Better Things with Pamela Adlon, which are both set to air on FX. He’s also producing Tig Nataro’s Amazon series, One Mississippi.
As an actor, C.K. can be seen in Trumbo and Brooks is in Will Smith’s Concussion.
