Not only is Olympic swimming champ Michael Phelps great in the pool, but he’s also got skills on the basketball court, in terms of being a distraction.

KSDK noted that the 30-year-old athlete attended an Arizona State game against Oregon State on Thursday evening and appeared from behind the Sun Devils’ “curtain of distraction.”

The famous curtain is designed for exactly what it sounds like and serves as ASU’s home court advantage for when opposing players go to the free throw line.

Phelps served as the perfect distraction when he emerged from behind the curtain first wearing a bowtie with a pair of black trousers and a several Olympic gold medals draped around his neck. The Beavers' Stephen Thompson Jr. missed the first basket. Then, for the second shot Phelps upped the ante and when the curtain opened he was stripped down in only a speedo and his medals. That distraction certainly helped too as Thompson missed that shot as well.

The crowd went nuts for Phelps and the Sun Devils won the game 86-68.

The Olympian recently moved to Arizona after his trainer, Bob Bowman, took a coaching job with the school so many Arizona fans are hoping Phelps will attend a few more game this season.
