Homeland alum Miranda Otto has nabbed the female lead role in Fox’s 24: Legacy pilot.

Otto will star as Rebecca Ingram, the former head of the Counter-Terrorism Unit. She is married to Sen. John Donovan, a role that hasn’t been cast yet, and has second thoughts about leaving the agency, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

She joins previously cast Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton), who will be playing a former military hero with a troublesome past who returns home.

24: Legacy won’t involve Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) or any of the original characters from 24. However, many of the same producers are still involved, including Homeland executive producer Howard Gordon.

Otto starred in season five of Homeland and became available for 24 after dropping out of HBO’s Westworld. She has worked with Fox in the past, starring in the short-lived Rake. Her film credits include War of the Worlds, The Homesman and the second and third Lord of the Rings movies.
