There’s been three installations of the Teen Mom franchise on MTV, and the network is now looking to add a fourth.
MTV has posted a casting call for Teen Mom 4, but this show will be different from Teen Mom OG, Teen Mom 2 and Teen Mom 3 in that the girls won’t film a 16 & Pregnant special first. We'll meet them when they're already in their 20s instead of being pregnant teens.
The network asks for “strong-willed and opinionated women who faced an unexpected pregnancy as a teen and now, in their early 20's, are navigating the difficulties of raising a child.”
The Teen Mom franchise has produced celebrities from troubled moms like Jenelle Evans and Amber Portwood, who have spent time in jail, and the controversial Farrah Abraham who has gone on to appear on a few more reality shows like Celebrity Big Brother UK. She also stars in a sex tape.
The casting call asks for young moms of “varying backgrounds who had children in their late teens and those children are now between the ages of 4 and 7.”
The new season of Teen Mom OG, which stars Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah, premieres Monday, Jan. 4 at 10pm.
