Rey has been conspicuously absent from the new Star Wars merchandise, but an upcoming set of toys will correct that.

The second wave of The Force Awakens toys has been unveiled, and Disney actually decided to include the protagonist of the film this time. Fans will be able to purchase a variety of Rey action figures, plus Rey's blaster, lightsaber and speeder. There will also be a Rey 12-inch figure, which did not exist in the first wave. Instead, there were 12-inch figures of Finn, Kylo Ren, Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper.

The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams recently called out the lack of Rey toys.

“I wish I had more details about merchandising and the schedule,” Abrams said, reports Entertainment Weekly. “I’m learning things as you are. I will say that it seems preposterous and wrong that the main character of the movie is not well represented in what is clearly a huge piece of the Star Wars world in terms of merchandising."

Hasbro recently faced some controversy when fans discovered Rey wasn't featured in Star Wars Monopoly, while Finn was included instead. The company said this was done as not to spoil the fact that Rey would turn out to be force sensitive, and that could be said about this second wave of toys as well. After all, Rey is seen holding a lightsaber on many of the boxes, something that was meant to be a surprise in The Force Awakens.

Hasbro recently announced Rey would be added to Star Wars Monopoly later this year.
