The New York City taxi driver who Today weatherman Al Roker filed a complaint against, Mahabur Rahman, has plead guilty to refusing to pick him up.

As we previously reported, Roker filed a discrimination complaint with the Taxi and Limousine Commission, claiming Rahman purposefully bypassed him in favor of a white passenger.

Rahman pleaded guilty to the service refusal violation last month and was subsequently fined $500 for it. The Commission has stated this is the driver’s second violation of the same kind, the AP reports.

When Roker told his Twitter followers about the complaint in November, he wrote, “Filed a complaint today after getting passed up again by a NYC Yellow cab. Cabbie picked up a white guy a block away. Wonder why Uber wins?”

He added, “This happens to folks of color every day. And while most cabbies do their job, there are those ignorant, racist ones who hurt the others.”

Roker also wrote that the worst part of it was that his young son was with him when it happened, and he asked his dad why the cab driver didn't pick them up.
