Starz’s Outlander is entrusting a new actress to play a key role in the hit series based on Diana Gabaldon's books.

The network announced on Twitter that Sophie Skelton will be playing the role of Brianna, the adult daughter of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe).

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Skeleton is a trained ballet dancer and singer. She has appeared in stage productions of Les Miserables and West Side Story. She’s also had a few TV roles in Foyle’s War and Waterloo Road. Skelton has also been in a couple of movies and is in the upcoming show Ren.

The second season of Outlander will also feature Richard Rankin as Roger Wakefield. The new season will debut in April.
