After proposals, meetings and tallying votes, we now know that the Rams are relocating from St. Louis to Los Angeles, but the question remains if they will be the only NFL team doing so.
NFL.com reported that team owners voted 30-2 making it official that the Rams would return to the nation’s second largest media market in 2016. However, the Rams may not be the only franchise playing in the City of Angels as the Chargers also have the option to play in L.A. If the Chargers decline, the Raiders will be given the option to join the Rams.
This will be the first time L.A. will have an NFL team there in more than two decades.
"We cannot wait to welcome the Rams, and perhaps others soon, as they join a storied lineup of professional franchises, collegiate powerhouses and sports media companies," Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a statement.
When asked if he was going to move to L.A. as well, Chargers chairman Dean Spanos would not say and at the moment it’s anyone’s guess if Raider nation will be end up back there.
