This season wasn’t the best for quarterback Robert Griffin III and with each passing Sunday it became more and more clear that whether healthy or not, he was not going to play for the Washington Redskins.

In 2012, RG3 was selected by Washington as the second overall pick in the draft, but after an injury his rookie season things shifted and now it appears that the writing is on the wall. FOX Sports noted that the team has not officially released him, however, Griffin and just about everyone else can guess what’s coming.

The Redskins were 4-12 last season, but bounced back this year to win the NFC East crown. They were knocked out of the playoffs on Sunday by the Green Bay Packers, but look like they have the quarterback they want for years to come and it’s not Griffin.

So, on Monday instead of talking to the media, RG3 cleaned out his locker and left behind a parting letter.

That note references "The Paradoxical Commandments," and seems to highlight some of the drama that played out in Washington during his time with the team, which is now likely over.
