While on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the incredibly talented Saoirse Ronan took the time to make sure Stephen Colbert would learn the proper way to do an Irish accent.
During the segment, Ronan tries to get Colbert to just stop for a moment while she teaches him. Eventually though, she has to admit that he is impressive. Ronan also said that he pronounced her first name correctly. “It’s ser-she like inertia!”
Ronan also helped Colbert pronounce some real Irish names, which can also help out your accent. At least we now know the proper way to pronounce Caoimhe.
