This is something Seattle Seahawks fans will be happy to hear… BeastMode says he’s “ready” to hit the field with his teammates on Sunday.

The report that Marshawn Lunch said he is ready to play comes courtesy of KOMO News ,which stated that Lynch himself texted ESPN’s Kenny Mayne with the words “I’m ready.” But fans can’t jump for joy just yet because the running back declared himself ready last week and did not join his team for the playoff game in Minnesota.

News for this week, however, does seem a little more assuring than last as Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said that Lynch looked “quicker” in practice this week than he had previously.

Quarterback Russell Wilson is hoping that he has Lynch to hand the ball off to against the stingy Carolina Panthers defense.

"Any time you have Marshawn, it's a great thing," Wilson said Thursday. "He's a great football player. Nobody really runs like him at all, and hopefully we can have him out there on the field. But as teammates, we want him to be healthy. We want him to feel like he's ready to go."

Lynch hasn’t played in a game since Nov. 15. He underwent surgery on his abdomen 10 days later.
