For those who have been living under a rock, Netflix’s Making a Murderer is all anyone has been talking about lately. Seth Meyers decided to capitalize on this by spoofing the series on Late Night in a skit called Making a Talk Show Host.

Meyers’ recreation of Stephen Avery’s unbelievable story shows an NBC executive telling him "You gotta come back” after two weeks off for the holidays. "They don't got no more reruns," the voice tells him.

The voices are in the same accent Avery has in the phone calls for the documentary miniseries, directed by Laura Riccardi and Moira Demos.

Netflix announced plans for the 10-episode documentary series in November and by the time it was released on Dec. 18 it had sparked the interest of thousands.

As of this week over 250,000 people have signed a petition to free Steven Avery, who initially spent 18 years in jail for a crime he didn’t commit and was released when new DNA evidence proved his innocence. After suing the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department in Wisconsin, Avery found himself accused of murder, and has spent the past seven years in jail.
