It appears that Jewel has got a new beau and it is NFL quarterback Charlie Whitehurst.
The 41-year-old singer and 33-year-old quarterback were spotted together at the National Championship Game between Alabama and Whitehurst’s alma mater Clemson on Monday. And the fact that they are dating was confirmed by TV personality Nancy O’ Dell.
“Love running in to my pal @Jewel on the field,” O'Dell wrote with a picture of them together. “Loved her from the 1st time I met her & now she’s dating a Clemson fella, Charlie Whitehurst=awesome!”
ET Online noted that just a few months ago Jewel said that she was finally moving on after her divorce in 2014 from Ty Murray and starting to date again.
“I never thought I’d be dating, but here I am,” she admitted. “It’s pretty fun!”
Whitehurst was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2006. He also had stints with the Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans before being claimed off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts and played in 4 games this season.
