The Cinema Audio Society announced the nominations for its awards, which could help The Hateful Eight and Star Wars: The Force Awakens gain some traction in at least one awards field. Nominees in the television categories include Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.

As Variety notes, the CAS honors the best in sound mixing, which is one of two sound categories at the Oscars. (The other is sound editing.)

The nominees on the film side were The Hateful Eight; The Force Awakens; Bridge of Spies; Mad Max: Fury Road; and The Revenant. The Martian was surprisingly not included.

The animated feature category includes both Pixar films, Inside Out and The good Dinosaur. The other nominees are Hotel Transylvania 2, Minions and The Peanuts Movie.

The TV nominees in the one-hour category ate Better Call Saul (“Marco”); Game of Thrones (“Hardhome”); Homeland (“The Tradition of Hospitality”); House of Cards (“Chapter 27”); and The Walking Dead (“First Time Again”).

Episodes of Modern Family, Nurse Jackie, Parks and Recreation, Silicon Valley and Veep were nominated in the TV half-hour category.

American Crime, two episodes of American Horror Story: Hotel, Fargo and True Detective were nominated for TV Mini-Series/Movie.

Last year’s CAS film winner was Birdman, which failed to win both of the sound Oscars.

The CAS awards are on Feb. 20.
