Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout is now officially engaged to Taylor McKinney, the reality star revealed on Instagram on Tuesday.
Bookout, 24, and McKinney, 26, share 8-month-old daughter, Jayde, together. His hesitation to propose has been a major storyline on MTV’s newest season of Teen Mom.
“Well y'all, my best friend asked me to marry him!” she wrote. “I'm one lucky lady, I love you T! @tmon3yyy.”
Bookout was previously engaged to her 7-year-old son Bentley’s father, Ryan Edwards.
She told MTV about her engagement to McKinney, “I honestly don’t think it has actually ’hit’ me yet. But I am very excited and feel super blessed that I get to marry Taylor. He’s an amazing man and dad.”
Bookout and McKinney are in California filming a special for the show and she said she was completely surprised by the proposal, which her two kids were there for.
“Taylor has asked Bentley to be his ’mini’ best man, and Bentley agreed,” Bookout continued. “Not sure he is aware of the responsibilities of a best man, but I’m sure he will do just fine! Jayde will definitely have a part in our wedding too — it’s just a matter of figuring it out considering she is still so young. I am excited to have them share this day with us.”
