This week's episode of Teen Wolf answered a lot of questions. Questions we’ve all had since the first episode of the season when Lydia foretold that everyone would die.

The episode began with the Argents searching for the monstrous beast in the underground tunnels. Though everyone else has gotten lost down there, it seems as though the Argents know exactly what they’re doing. They decide to split up and Gerard comes face to face with the Dread Doctors. Gerard reveals he knows their weaknesses, involving some sort of frequencies. In another part of the tunnels Mr. Argent stumbles upon a pile of dead bodies!

The Argents report this and the police get involved. At the hospital Parish is there stressing about his dream with Sheriff Stalinsky, worrying it may come true after discovering the dead bodies. The Sheriff assures him these dead bodies aren’t connected to his dream, but in a side conversation with Scott, Stiles, and Kira he reveals his own concerns.

Back at Eichen house Lydia is still catatonic and receiving lessons from Meredith on how to control her scream. Lydia doubts herself and Meredith about this state of reality being real.

Meanwhile Malia is teaming up with Theo. Theo tranquilizes her because he can’t let her know where the Dread Doctor’s layer is. She’s still weary of trusting Theo, but he leverages Scott’s feelings for Deaton and convinces Malia Scott will blame her if Deaton gets hurt.

Malia wakes up bound to an exam bed, and Theo rummaging through the Dread Doctor’s equipment. He reveals to her that the Doctors use their goggles as a frequency tool to keep track of their chimeras. Malia can use the goggles the same way to track a wearcoyote. The goggles burn her eyes and she resists but she’s finally able to see an image of Deaton and the Desert Wolf in Beacon Hills.

At school, it’s announced that the town is under another countywide curfew. Police are roaming the halls armed with massive guns. Scott and Stiles question a deputy about the necessity for these guns. He reveals that the deputies are onto the supernatural beings in Beacon Hills.

Kira is with her dad who is taking possession of her sword because she has still not managed to tame the fox inside her. Her father reassures her that she has the spirit and the power to fight and does not need the sword to fight all of her battles.

Malia makes an appearance at school to give Liam a message for Scott. They’re at a crossroads because Malia isn’t talking to Scott and Scott isn’t talking to Liam. Even so, Malia urges him to tell Scott that he was right about the tunnels.

Liam sets out to explore these tunnels alone. He ends up getting lost only to run into Scott. They investigate the tunnels together and in boy-like fashion they avoid the difficult topic of Liam trying to kill Scott. Scott finally brings it up and points out to Liam that he never actually apologized to him. Liam confesses he feels like an apology isn’t enough, and that he needs to do something, like save Scott’s life. Then the two have a breakthrough and Liam notices snake holes on the walls and it’s the key to unlocking a hidden door.

The Argents appear behind the door, and Scott finds out that Gerard is back. Mr. Argent pleas with Scott that Gerard can be useful because he knows all the myths about the beast. They then reveal a mural they found that depicts the beast fighting a hellhound and that the two can only destroy each other. The bottom of the mural also foretells that everyone may die because of the beast and hellhound.

Malia is with Braydon teaming up with Theo to go after the Desert Wolf and saving Deaton. Braydon admits she doesn’t trust Theo and would rather go at the Desert Wolf with Scott. Malia finally reveals why she’s been blocking out Scott: he won’t let her kill the Desert Wolf but Theo might help.

When the three encounter the Desert Wolf Theo turns on Malia and Braydon: knocking out Braydon, and wounding Malia. The Desert Wolf appears and gives Theo a jar with glowing blue claws. Theo confesses he had to help her in order to get what he wants.

Stiles is back at Eichen house visiting Lydia, pleading her to come out of her catatonic state. Lydia’s mom interrupts, when Stiles discover a bald spot on Lydia’s head. Miss Martin claims it’s for electro therapy and perfectly safe, but Stiles worries it’s for something else, something dangerous. Miss Martin kicks Stiles out, and on his way he manages to steal a keycard off one of the nurses.

Meredith is still coaching Lydia to control her scream, in that it needs to be like a bullet. Meredith confesses her scream was more like a bomb and hurt people. Lydia has a chance to control hers and save her friends. Lydia then begins to feel a banshee premonition where she sees Malia in danger and senses her death is near.

Malia is in trouble as the Desert Wolf beats her and reveals that Malia took some of her powers. Malia is angry with her because she made her kill her family. The two keep fighting and just when you think the Desert Wolf is about to kill Malia, Deaton saves her and tells the Desert Wolf she has to wait until the full moon. Then out of nowhere Lydia screams and it resonates to the lights above Deaton.

We then see Lydia’s escape scene from the first episode of the season. Lydia’s scream saves Malia, but also wakes up the beast that’s been behind the wall where Malia and the Desert Wolf are fighting. The beast initially goes after Deaton and Malia has to choose between defeating the Desert Wolf and saving Deaton. She saves Deaton and Braydon and they narrowly escape the beast.

The Argents reveal to Parish what his supernatural side is and question him about his time in Afghanistan. Then they test his abilities with a blowtorch to his eye, and he immediately reacts and his hellhound powers come out.

Theo finds his pack with Deucalion. Theo’s ultimate plan is finally revealed that he wants the beast’s power in order to become an alpha. Deucalion agrees to help as long as he ends up with Scott’s eyes on his claws.

The episode ends with Scott’s pack finally reunited and on the same page. Their next mission is to break Lydia out of Eichen house.

The rest of the season is sure to be thrilling, with everyone’s lives at risk according to Lydia’s vision and Parishes dream. Hopefully Scott and the pack can vanquish the beast without spilling too much blood.
