Retailer grocery chain Trader Joe’s has recalled cashews over concerns of possible salmonella contamination.

FoxNews.com reported that the recall was issued after a supplier of the Raw Cashew Pieces contacted the company over the potential for contamination.

The Huffington Post noted that the recall notice was issued last Friday for the bags featuring a "Best before 07.17.2016TF4" product code with the barcode number 00505154.

The product was sold in stores in 29 U.S. states including Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. The snacks were also distributed in Washington D.C.

While no cases of salmonella have been reported at this time Trader Joe’s said that as a precaution all of the products have been removed from its store shelves.
