Adventure packed films take on another dimension this weekend. The fury of Mother Nature and the fighting fists of a panda are just some of what can be seen in 3D.

Po reconnects with his long lost father and adventures to a glorious land filled with pandas in Kung Fu Panda 3. Their happiness is derailed when the evil Kai tries to take over China. In order to defeat the villain, Po must teach his fellow pandas the skill and discipline they need to master the martial arts. The animated adventure features the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, Bryan Cranston, J.K. Simmons and Kate Hudson. The PG film is playing in conventional, 3D and IMAX 3D theaters for one hour and 35 minutes.

The Coast Guard takes to the sea for a daring rescue in The Finest Hours. When a nor’easter ravages the east coast, a small boat heads out into the water to save thirty sailors aboard an oil tanker destroyed by the raging waters. The PG-13 adventure drama, starring Chris Pine, Casey Affleck, Ben Foster and Eric Bana, is based on a true story. The one hour and 57-minute film is available in conventional, 3D and IMAX 3D theaters.

Marlon Wayans co-directed and stars in the comedy Fifty Shades of Black. In this Fifty Shades of Grey parody, a college student is introduced to a variety of sex acts by businessman Christian Black. The one hour and 32-minute comedy is rated R for sex, nudity and language.

A group of outlaws harass a woman and her family in Jane Got a Gun. With her husband as their main target, the woman will do anything to save her family, including reaching out to her ex-fiancée for help. Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton and Ewan McGregor star in the limited released western drama. The one hour and 38-minute film is rated R for violence and language.

The adventures continue on February 5 with the release of the action film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The romance film The Choice and the star-studded comedy Hail, Caesar! also enter theaters next week.
