After dipping his toes into the horror genre with The Cabin in the Woods, The West Wing star Bradley Whitford is up for some more spooky fun.

According to Deadline, Whitford has signed on as the co-lead in the upcoming horror flick Get Out from Jordan Peele, who is co-creator of Comedy Central's Key and Peele. This will be Peele's directorial debut. He  also wrote the film's screenplay as well.

From Blumhouse Productions, the studio behind movies such as Insidious, Paranormal Activity and Unfriended, Get Out centers around an African American man who goes to visit the estate of his white girlfriend's family. Peele has said the movie will be about race and will hopefully provoke a conversation about social issues, as we previously reported.

Get Out takes on the task of exploring race in America, something that hasn’t really been done within the genre since Night Of The Living Dead 47 years ago,” Peele said. “It’s long overdue.”

Get Out also stars Catherine Keener, Allison Williams, Daniel Kaluuya, Caleb Landry Jones and Lil Rel Howery. The film does not yet have a release date set.
