Zayn Malik canceled what would’ve been his first solo television appearance this week without One Direction, which was scheduled to be on The Graham Norton Show.

In a statement released through his rep, Malik said the appearance has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts.

"Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts with recording commitments, Zayn's appearance on Graham Norton has been postponed,” his rep told E! News. “Zayn has confirmed that he would love to appear on the show at a later date."

The episode would’ve aired on Monday, Feb. 1. His first solo single, "Pillow Talk," will be released on Friday.

Malik’s first interview on camera will be with Zane Lowe, who posted a teaser on his Instagram page.

Malik has done interviews before, and he hasn’t been too complimentary of his former band. He previously told Fader, “That’s not music I would listen to. you listen to One Direction at a party with your girl? I wouldn’t. To me, that’s not an insult, that’s me as a 22-year-old man. As much as I was in that band, and I loved everything that we did, that’s not music that I would listen to. I want to make music that I think is cool shit. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for.”
