The directors for Avengers: Infinity War made a correction on how many characters they are going to put in the movie.
Anthony and Joe Russo were at the Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con in January, and they said that there will be 67 characters in the two-part movie, according to ComicBook.com.
However, they made a correction to their statement on Feb. 27 at the Wizard World Cleveland Comic Con, according to an article on Cleveland.com.
While taking part in a panel, they let the audience know about the mistake they made last month while describing the film's plot. Instead of having 67 characters, there will be 68, and while there will not be a focus on each individual one in the movie, the directors plan to target a handful of characters with many superheroes in ancillary roles.
67 or 68, it's still a lot of characters, but the brothers have no problem trying to work it out.
"We have to tell a story and that story has to be built around the characters' emotional arcs," said Joe Russo. "And we can only have so many of those."
Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 is set to hit theaters May 4, 2018 and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 on May 3, 2019.
