In the 200th episode of The Big Bang Theory, the gang celebrates Sheldon’s birthday.

Sheldon never liked celebrating his birthday because the day is shared with his twin sister. All of her friends would come to their party, but no one Sheldon invited would show up. Her friends also found joy in tormenting him. One year, his sister even tricked him into thinking Batman was coming to his party. Sheldon was crushed. However, Leonard, Penny and Amy are able to convince him that he will have a nice time if he lets them throw a party.

After hearing Sheldon’s story, Leonard gets the idea to invite the star of the 1966 Batman series, Adam West, to the party. Stuart previously tried to book him for a signing at the comic book store, so they have his contact information. West agrees to come to the party, so the guys pick him up from his house. In the car, West ranks all the Batmans, putting himself first on the list and “pretty boy Clooney” last.

Sheldon walks into his party to see all of the guests, including Leonard’s mom, Kripke, Leslie Winkle, Wil Wheaton and of course, West. Sheldon starts to give a speech thanking everyone. In the middle of his speech, he gets overwhelmed and runs into the bathroom. Penny goes to talk to him and they have a heart-to-heart. Penny tells him that he is one of her favorite people and that she will stay in the bathroom with him if that is what he wants. Sheldon worries that people would think he is weird. She points out that everyone knows he is weird, but they still came to his party because they care about him so much.

Sheldon comes back out and Amy gives a nice toast. That is when Sheldon realizes that he enjoys people saying nice things about him. He then decides everyone should give a nice speech showering him with admiration. Amy even gets Professor Stephen Hawkins on a video chat to sing "Happy Birthday" to Sheldon. After they are done, West chimes in to ask who will be taking him home.
