Forrest MacNeil will be providing us with only a few more reviews, as Comedy Central will end Andy Daly's series after an abbreviated final season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Review will conclude with a limited third season. It's not clear exactly how limited it will be, but THR's sources suggest the season will consist of a minimum of three episodes, either aired over three weeks or aired back to back as a special one-night event.
This news is hugely disappointing for Andy Daly fans, although it's not entirely unexpected considering the disappointing ratings during season 2. Review's first season averaged nearly 500,000 viewers, while the second only took in about 250,000. For months after the season 2 finale aired, fans had no idea if the show was coming back at all, so it's at least satisfying that Andy Daly will be given a chance to write a proper ending for the series.
On Twitter, Daly offered a quick, confused reaction. He simply wrote, "Wait, what?"
Thankfully for Review fans, the comedian is reportedly fielding pilot offers from broadcast networks, so even after Review wraps up, Daly should hopefully be back on television in no time.
